Bertrand Goldberg worked on a number of exhibition designs throughout his career. In 1937 he partnered with fellow Bauhaus student Mike Van Buren and together they organized a Bauhaus exhibit for the Golden Gate International Exposition. Goldberg also completed designs for the Sheldon-Claire Company and Unicel, where he designed an exhibit for the Pressed Steel Car Company highlighting his Unicel Prefabricated Freight Car. The Unicel exhibit included a freight car section that viewers could walk through. Later in his career, he designed a full-size model of one of the apartments at Marina Towers to sell the design to both prospective tenants and politicians. A helicopter was hired so that a photo mural showing the view could be made; potential tenants could step into the apartment and admire the view from the balcony. Goldberg also had a full-size model of the stage of the San Diego Theater built at the Piccadilly Theater in Chicago so he could show people how the design functioned.
